The End To A New Beginning

A very important chapter of my life has ended. It has made me who I am today. Without the Prefect Board, I wouldn't have been the confident self I am now. It has brought me great memories, both bitter and sweet. I have met great people that have made an impact on my life and moulded me. I actually looked forward to school everyday because of the Prefect Board, to overcome all the little challenges headed our way, one day at a time. I am thankful for the knowledge and experience I have gained throughout my service as the board's secretary. No words can describe how grateful I am to be chosen as one of the committee members of Year 2011/2012. Not only to have been given the responsibility but to also be given the chance to work with some amazing people. This experience also opened me a little to what it might be like working for a company, as an employee. Of course we don't receive pay checks in school, instead we get back joy from serving the school and respect from teachers, students and friends. For me, that is more than any pay check can provide. I will definitely cherish the great moments I shared with my fellow AJKs and move on to creating more. Here's a little peek of the great times we had (;

 Installation Day - spot our nervous faces

 Annual meeting with the whole board. This was the Q&A session. Yes, we looked like this because no one was coming up to ask questions at that moment. Haha!

 The sleep deprived yet extremely fun camps we went through
 AJK shot during our annual hi-tea 2011 at Grand Dorsett

 Meetings that will definitely end with loads of photos
 Our oh-so-awesome prefect t-shirt. Strive. Drive. Thrive.

The juniors got together to make us, seniors a video as a symbol of appreciation. Thank you so much (;

Sometimes I wonder how did these 22 (including myself) whacky people got chosen, brought together and were given trust to lead the board. Now, I thank the teachers for believing in us. Thank you for the enjoyable ride. Handing over the board to the next batch of juniors and retiring is very emotional. Yet, we managed through without tears today. Being apart of this wonderful family has been an honour. I do hope we will all still keep in touch after our schooling days. Here's a video Samuel put together for us AJKs (:

Credits to all the photographers who captured all those moments above which I took from Facebook.
